Don't bother calling the U.S. Immigration & Naturalization Service when you see this shirt: They don't recognize off-planet citizenship yet.
This shirt is for people who get asked "So, what planet are you from?" - and those who wish it would get asked more often.
As George Carlin has pointed out, "resident alien" really is an oxymoron, but somehow the term seems to work anyway.
For a resident alien (from another planet), every day they are here is a day on Earth, which makes it an "Earth day." Neither one of the terms is being used in its "proper" (i.e., original) sense by such a statement, but you have to admit the combination does make some sense...
Earth Day was dreamed up by the Environmentalists in the 1970's to remind the human inhabitants of the Earth that it's a small planet with limited resources. That is a valid goal, but part of the problem with the implementation is that a lot of people think about it one day of the year - on Earth Day - and spend the rest of the year trashing the place. That's a suicidal way of dealing with the planet you live on! It may not become fatal in your own lifetime, but at the rate we're going, it won't be much more than a generation or two before humanity will have poisoned itself with its waste.
Listen up, people! Recycling isn't just a good idea: It's a way of life - and one you have to live if you want your decendants to survive long enough to know they were here.
As always, comments are always welcome. We appreciate your feedback.
