front button Front: TRUST YOURSELF

I found an interesting thought in the Sunday comics in March, 1993: Hal Foster's Prince Valiant, by John Cullen Murphy, started with a quote from a letter from Valeta to Cormac: "He who puts his trust in Fate becomes its slave. He who would master Fate puts trust in himself."

I clipped that panel out of the newspaper, and it stayed, buried, on my desk for a long time. I'd come across it once in a while, and thought I ought to put it up on the wall where I could see it: It is, after all, an extremely valuable piece of advice.

back button Back: MASTER YOUR FATE

I still have the clipping, and occasionally I stumble across it when I'm digging toward my desk, looking for something else. It's not lost any more: It's become part of my T-shirt collection, something that not only reminds me of its wisdom, but something I share with the world as well.

We could all do well to follow this advice: Trust Yourself. That's how you can Master Your Fate. Otherwise, you become a pawn whose life is determined by Fate itself - and probably not what you would like to see...

As always, comments are always welcome. We appreciate your feedback.
